Everyone deserves a second chance.
Who Am I
All platforms are regularly tested by myself. Kiva is actually a loan hence you can call your money out once matured. The other ones are purely donations.
You can literally start making a difference as low as 10 euros! (actually much cheaper than a pizza nowadays)
In every site You can create the automatic donation that will renew each month on your card without any intervention. And it's tax deductible as well!
Kiva is a Loan Platform that allows you to loan small sums to entrepreneurs living in unserved regions.
They change lives in a tangible and fast way making you choose where your money goes and monitoring the results of your loan.
The mission: to give concrete help to people in a state of severe poverty and social marginalization.
The association provides food, health and housing to those in need (now 137 houses and counting)
Thanks to the invaluable contribution of the Volunteers, the support of important food companies that donate their products to us and the generosity of many Donors, we manage to give food rations to those who need them, without any kind of distinction and in full respect of our centuries-old motto, then conceived for the protection and safeguarding of the dignity of our guests: "Sister, brother, no one here will ask you who you are, neither why you need, nor what your opinions are.”
We can do something important for so many families facing a rare genetic disease: donate now 10 per month and support the Telethon Foundation's research to get it to the cure faster.
Let's make them great together.
"I lived on the street for 30 years, the last 10 with my Jack. He is much more than a dog to me: he is like a son.
After the house, other beautiful things arrived.
I started working on a farm, what I was looking for: being outdoors, with animals, makes me feel alive."
Luigi, guest of Cascina Vita Nova (Progetto Arca Onlus)
(this is what I mean when I say "changing lives" is possible)
I started supporting Kiva at the very beginning of their micro-financing platform.
It all began in March 2005, when the first loan on kiva.org was funded. Elizabeth, a woman in Uganda, used her $500 Kiva loan to expand her fish-mongering business, traveling to purchase fish by the basket to sell at local markets. That $500 changed her life.
It was not a gift, it was not charity. It was a loan that helped her needs.
Nineteen years later, 5 million people have used Kiva loans to change theirs.
Changing lives,
one loan at a time.
A story that changes stories.
30 years on the road, of concrete answers to the most urgent social needs.
This is something that touches me deeply and intimately and the reason why I support Progetto Arca.
Progetto Arca helps those who have lost everything—home, family, work, money. This mission touches me deeply, because too often we believe it’s a problem that only belongs to others. But it isn’t.
Each of us fights battles in life. And sometimes life itself can knock us down. I believe anyone can achieve great things, but also find themselves with nothing left—not even the strength to hope.
That’s why I want to stand with the forgotten and support the last; so they can rise again.
The reason why I support Pane Quotidiano is very simple.
I personally believe that life is hard and we often concentrate on the wrong things thinking that "those" problems don't belong to us, they don't "live" here.
Being from Milan, I often noticed people in need queuing to receive some help and I was shocked realising how many people were struggling in that unfortunate condition. And I'm not talking about homeless or refugees. More and more this condition embraces people like you and I.
Everyday people.
For this reason I started my relationship with Pane Quotidiano. A secular, non-partisan and non-profit Association, founded in Milan in 1898, with the aim of ensuring free food every day to the poorest sections of the population and to anyone in a state of need and vulnerability, without any kind of distinction.
With Telethon I have a totally different story which involves the fact that I was born with a genetic disease that is one of the numerous diseases impacting on human lives. Being so involved and lucky to have a form that impacts relatively on my life (compared to some deadly versions) put me in the moral position to do something, maybe something small but still something.
With a regular donation, we can ensure constant support for scientific research, which is essential to achieve treatment.
A positive anything is better than a negative nothing!
